Best Highlighters for Fair Skin
Looking for a skin-brightening makeup product? Go for a highlighter. Those who have light skin tones can find it difficult to find highlighters that suit their color. However, there are a number of brands that make products specifically designed for fair skin tones to give you a healthy glow. Check out these easy-to-use products to decide which one will be best for your needs.
So, when I’m describing these highlighters, you will hear me reference them by satin which gives a really nice natural glow. Next, we have a metallic which gives a very bold and pigmented highlighter look kind of like that Insta glow vibe and next we have glossy which doesn't have a lot of pigment but gives a beautiful wet look finish. Let's get down to business with the highlighters now that that's out of the way.
1. FENTY BEAUTY BY RIHANNA Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter:
I have this highlighter in the shade of lightning dust and fire crystal. This highlighter has two types of finishes that are satin and metallic. There is a lot more pigment to the metallic and it gives much more of a bold glow. This metallic shade is a little more pinkish than the others. If you're not sure what kind of highlighter you prefer or if you like to dip between both then I think that this is a really good option.
2. MAC Cosmetics Extra Dimension Skinfinish:
I have this in the shade double gleam and if you are going to get one highlighter out of all my suggestions make it this one. This highlighter is not like other highlighters, it is light gold and this highlighter doesn't have a lot of back pigment it leaves a very glossy wet look to the skin which makes the gold-tone not seem so harsh on the fair skin it just gives that bit of warmth to really brighten the skin.
3. BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed:
I have this in the shade moonstone. This is also a gold shade and it has more of a metallic finish but even though it's gold it works really well for fair skin because it's not a chunky glittery metallic. it's a very soft and smooth metallic finish. It blends beautifully and looks smooth on the skin and the gold gives a bit of warmth to brighten the skin.
4. Too Faced - Love Light Prismatic Highlighter:
I have this in the shade blinded by the light. This has a glossy finish. It doesn't have a lot of pigment and gives the skin a lovely moist touch. When blended out on the hand there's not a lot of pigment. It has a lovely gleaming appearance. It doesn't have any chunks of glitter in it and it is a very smooth formula and just blends beautifully on the skin.
5. Fenty Beauty Diamond Bomb All-Over Diamond Veil:
I have this in the shade how many carats and this is a very different highlighter and not for the faint-hearted. it is a powder but has a very cushion-like texture. It's kind of a hybrid between a powder and a cream. It has a glossy finish so there's barely any pigment to it but it also has a lot of glitter in it so it's glossy but quite bold at the same time. I like to apply this one with my finger by simply dabbing it over the top or with a dense brush because it has a translucent base but a lot of glitters. Because it is a bit of an unusual formula, I wouldn't apply it with a typical highlighting brush, but if you like a glossy and sparkly appearance at the same time, this one is for you, and it is ideal for glam looks.
6. MAC Mineralize Skinfinish:
I have this in the shade lightscapade. This one has a satin finish which leaves a subtle glow and that's why I think it is perfect if you're new to highlighting. It's a very light gold marbled with pink and blues so it works perfectly if you're cool-toned. When blended out it has a subtle shade and I think it's just the perfect shade for fair skin tones.
7. Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand Highlighter:
I have this in the shade spotlight. This is a liquid highlighter. It does have a glossy finish and this is a light gold shade. If I blend it out on my hand it does look quite metallic but, on the skin, it's not a bold gold shade it just gives that glossy wet look.
8. Revlon Skinlights Prismatic Powder Highlighter:
I have this in the shade daybreak glimmer. The shade is more of a dark gold compared to the other gold highlighters that I’ve mentioned. It has a lovely metallic appearance and a shiny finish. It's not chunky or glittery at all and it is such a smooth formula.
I hope you liked reading the blog, and if you did, please share it. I hope you found this information useful. I didn't want to go on too long since I'd just end up repeating myself. As you might already know there are a lot of options out there for fair skin it's just a matter of finding the right finish and undertone that's going to suit your fair skin.
